What are the proposed improvements?

  • replacement of sanitary and storm sewer; domestic water mains
  • updating storm drainage pipes and catch basins
  • new curb and gutter
  • driveway approaches

  • street surfacing
  • compact roundabouts at the intersections of Second and Broad Street

  • Replacement of non-compliant sewer and water services from the right-of-way into property.
  • Hard surfacing of unsurfaced driveways and parking areas (within one year of project completion).

Why is this construction work important?

  • Compact roundabouts help to safely accommodate traffic and reduce delays in an area with a limited right-of-way.
  • Ensures adequate drainage.
  • Ensures safe and reliable delivery of drinking water for many years to come.
  • Maintains a safe and efficient sewage collection system.
