EVERY VOICE MANKATO

The Hilltop Planning Area Study is designed to identify the vision and direction for future development in the hilltop neighborhood (the area bound by Madison Avenue, Victory Drive, Main Street and the bluff line west of Crocus Street). The study will evaluate neighborhood recommendations and concerns, existing issues and future land use plans.The City of Mankato is seeking input from neighborhood property owners, organizations/businesses, residents and general interested parties to provide direction for the area study and the vision of the hilltop neighborhood.

Hilltop Planning Area Study

In December 2023, the Mankato City Council allocated $50,000 for an exciting new initiative called the Parks Pilot Project. It aims to increase usage of Mankato&#39;s parks by introducing a variety of new features and activities. Planned additions include gaga ball pits, hammock posts, and a ping pong table in select parks.The project&#39;s main goal is to explore a variety of new activities in the parks, encourage people to try new things, and offer unique experiences for a wider range of community members. We will assess the success of these features based on user feedback, participation rates, and overall satisfaction. Your input through the survey below will be valuable for guiding future improvements and features in our park facilities.

Mankato Parks Pilot Project

This year&rsquo;s annual photo contest invited the Mankato community to capture the essence of our city from unique perspectives, embracing the theme &ldquo;Angles of Mankato.&rdquo; Participants submitted their photographs showcasing familiar places and spaces through innovative lenses, aiming to reveal the hidden beauty and distinct character of our area. Now, we&rsquo;re turning to you to help select honorable mentions, the top twelve entries and determine the first and second place winners. Your votes will help celebrate the creativity and diversity of viewpoints that make Mankato truly special.
