Purchase of Public Safety Body Cameras

The City of Mankato is planning the purchase of body worn cameras for its Public Safety officers. The addition of these tools can be helpful in gathering evidence and helping to bring clarity to situations. Prior to the purchase, the public is encouraged to provide input through Tuesday, March 15 on Every Voice Mankato or by:

Comments about the purchase may also be provided at the 6 p.m., March 14 City Council meeting. It will be held in the Minnesota River Room at the Intergovernmental Center, 10 Civic Center Plaza.

Should the purchase move forward, a draft policy will be developed, and the public will be invited to provide input on that policy.
